The Freebugs are the biggest bug funk band ever and consist of Cricket, Bee, Ant, Beetle and Sticky."Cricket & The Freebugs" is a musical comedy telling the story of the band's rise to fame. It is told in a concert setting with the band playing all the characters involved in the story with a script written by Johan Ribbing, Milo Maris, Pascal Perico, Ian Chavez Zarate and Louise Perico with music and lyrics by Johan Ribbing with additional lyrics by Milo Maris.The musical was featured at the BEAM 2025 showcase of new musical theatre as well as on BBC's The One Show and is currently running at Edinburgh Fringe 2026.
